Lipin Ji (季李频), Ph.D. Candidate in Medicinal Chemistry

Center for Drug Discovery, Northeastern University

Lipin Ji received his B.S. in Pharmaceutical Engineering from East China University of Science and Technology, China in 2013 and his M.S. in Medicinal Chemistry from Northeastern University, US in 2015.

He is now a Ph.D. candidate in Medicinal Chemistry in Center for Drug Discovery, Northeastern University and mentored by Dr. Alexandros Makriyannis and Dr. Spyros Nikas. His main research focuses on the design and synthesis of biologically active endocannabinoid analogues with high potency, efficacy and metabolic stability.

His major goal in his graduate study is to explore different pharmacophores in the endocannabinoid scaffold and to design novel endocannabinoid analogues as biological/pharmacological tools for studying the endocannabinoid system.
